Over the last three years, the unprecedented suffering caused by the pandemic, was met with an equally relentless development of rapid solutions by innovators within civil society, whether it was incisive healthcare tools, support to displaced migrant workers, or alternate job creation for those that were out of work. While we are still grappling with picking up the pieces and rebuilding with resilience, various conversations & dialogues across stakeholders, have shown that one of the ways to enable change in the lives of the most vulnerable, is through harnessing data.

In 2021, the initiative also published a landscape report that advocates ‘enabling data empowerment for India’s most vulnerable’ through awareness, access, and agency over data. The report also highlighted barriers to data empowerment, and a ‘virtuous cycle of data’ required to help address each breakpoint.
